The Deal

Step back in time and ride the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, which takes passengers on a scenic trip through the 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park aboard a classic train. With this exclusive Local Deal for $15, regularly $30, two people receive admission for a three-hour roundtrip tour. Catch the train from one of three stations stretching from just south of Cleveland all the way to Akron.

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, celebrating its 40th year of operation, features locomotives and climate-controlled coaches built in the 1940s, '50s and '60s. See blue heron, beaver dams and bald eagles from a seat inside a streamlined steel cab while traveling on more than 50 miles of track beside the Cuyahoga River.

In the middle of the trip, get off in the Village of Peninsula, where you can explore local shops and restaurants. The three-hour scenic tours start at Rockside Station, Peninsula Depot or Akron Station. Check train schedules at www.cvsr.com to plan your trip.
