The Deal

Spring is almost here, and that means it's walleye season. With this Local Deal, set off on a half-day trip on Lake Erie with Sassy Sal Charters in Port Clinton. This all-inclusive package includes everything you need for a day of fishing aboard either Sassy Sal or Investigator, including lunch, for $35, regularly $66.75 per person.

This trip includes:

• Seven hours aboard one of two boats captained by Lake Erie experts
• All necessary equipment including bait and tackle
• Lunch including a sub sandwich, chips, fruit, cookies and a candy bar
• Coolers full of ice to store your catch

A valid Ohio fishing license, available for purchase at the bait shop for $11, is required for this experience. This deal can be used through the end of October and covers both walleye and yellow perch season. Charters leave two times daily (starting April 28) from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Sassy Sal also offers fish-cleaning services for an additional fee.
