The Deal

Midwest Living Magazine says M Avenue Restaurant at The Allerton Hotel is a "cool and contemporary" spot while USA Today recommends this "chic" restaurant that serves "progressive American cuisine." With this deal, two can dine just steps from Michigan Avenue for $25, regularly as much as $67.

Take a seat in the dining room that Metromix calls "modern [and] Art-Deco inspired" and select:

• Two soups or salads like a bowl of the M Avenue onion soup topped with melted Gruyere or a mixed green salad with cucumbers and a walnut vinaigrette (up to $6 each)

• Any two entrees or entree salads like a New York strip steak sandwich, pan-seared salmon salad with citrus vinaigrette or penne pasta with herb-grilled chicken breast and sun-dried tomatoes (up to $18 each)

The Allerton Hotel originally opened in 1921 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, famously known as the home of Tip Top Tap. The restaurant is steps from Michigan Avenue's high-end shopping destinations like Gucci, Saks Fifth Avenue, Cartier and Brooks Brothers.
