The Fine Print

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Tuesday, Aug. 23 through June 1, 2012. Sailing season ends Oct. 16 and resumes in mid-April. Voucher value can be applied to higher-priced cruises. Vouchers not valid on Saturdays during August. Vouchers valid for Adult tickets only. All vouchers must be redeemed at the ticket booth on the day of your sail. Ticket booth is located on the South side of Navy Pier near Riva restaurant. No telephone or Internet reservations will be accepted. In the interest of safety, this is not valid for pregnant women. Limit 1 per person, but additional may be purchased as gifts. Not valid for products. Tax and gratuity are not included.

The Deal

Take to the waters of Lake Michigan on the Windy, a four-masted, 148-foot schooner, with this deal for the official Tall Ship of the City of Chicago. For $15, subscribers can sail the lake during one of more than a half-dozen different hour-long or 75-minute cruises, regularly valued up to $30.

Sail before the close of this year's season (Oct. 16) or at the start of next year's (mid-April). These tours, helmed by captains with decades of experience, include:

• "Spirit Ships and Haunted Harbors" Halloween cruise, which tells tales of ghost ships and supernatural lore on the lakes

• "Pirates of the Inland Seas" excursion, which teaches the history of Great Lakes skullduggery

• "Rum Runner" trip, where passengers hear tales of water-based bootlegging during Prohibition

Patrons who would like to set sail for a fireworks cruise or any other special event can also apply the $30 value of this deal toward booking a higher-priced trip. Visit the Windy's website for details about cruise schedules.
