Clio is "the jewel in [Chef Ken Oringer's] crown" according to Boston Magazine, which is among the many local and national publications to call the restaurant one of the best in Boston, if not the country. With a James Beard Award and "Iron Chef America" victory under his belt, Oringer has crafted an exclusive three-course menu with amuse bouche for Travelzoo subscribers. This meal is available for a short time for $49 per person, regularly $80 a la carte.
The exclusive menu will change daily based on the chef's discretion; sample dishes include:
• An amuse bouche from the chef to start
• First course
- Sunflower seed "risotto" with Devonshire "double cream," Parmesan and candied mace
- Salad of mesclun with crisp vegetables, herbs and flowers, fresh goat cheese and vinaigrette
• Main course
- Brown butter roasted halibut with cauliflower, red quinoa and peri peri
- Roasted suckling pig with apple chutney, granola and pickled crosnes
• Dessert
- French butter pear with malt, walnut creme and Labne ice cream
- Miso dark chocolate cremeux with banana ice cream, golden miso and cashew butter
In addition, the restaurant is also inviting subscribers to come in for a refined Thanksgiving feast. Only available on Thanksgiving Day, the menu features a traditional relish tray; choice of pumpkin soup, endive salad or Cape Cod oyster stew; roasted free-range turkey or duck fat-poached halibut; and warm spiced financier with cider sorbet for dessert.
