The Deal

Saddle up for a scenic horseback ride in the Santa Monica Mountains above Malibu with this thrilling Local Deal. For $59 per person, take a guided 1.5-hour journey past wildflowers, mountain streams, open fields and scenic outlooks over the Pacific Ocean. This experience with Connemara Ranch is regularly $130.

Start off at the stables, located on a 10-acre ranch about 45 minutes from Santa Monica or Studio City. You'll be provided with all necessary equipment including saddle and helmet before embarking on the journey with owner and trail guide Talley Hutcherson, who has been featured in the New York Times. Instruction on the fundamentals of tacking and riding is provided before leaving the stables and during the journey.

There is a maximum of 8 riders per ride, and riders of all experience levels are welcome.

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Tuesday, Jan. 24, through July 30, 2012. Reservations required; subject to availability and weather conditions. Must be at least 10 years old or older to ride. Must weigh 220 lbs. or less to ride. Voucher is subject to forfeiture if you cancel or reschedule your reservation with less than 24 hours notice. Must be used in 1 visit.
