The Deal

Zagat praises the sushi and Japanese cuisine at Kenichi, an "over-the-top-trendy" downtown restaurant, rating it "very good to excellent" (21). With this exclusive Local Deal, two people can get the full experience while dining on a special family-style five-course dinner for $49, regularly $99. Or, for $95, regularly $198, save even more when you bring in a group of four people.

This Japanese dining experience begins with courses designed to share:

• Any appetizer, like scallop ceviche with kung pao chiles and a tomato-sesame sorbet; yellowtail with serrano, cilantro and basil citronette; or the dynamite shrimp

• Any sashimi, like horse mackeral, octopus or torched escolar with truffled ponzu and garlic crisps

• Any sushi roll, like the Lone Star with blackened tuna, cucumber, cilantro, poblano puree and spicy aioli; or the sea bream with tempura red snapper, avocado and asparagus topped with red snapper, pickled onion ponzu and yuzu tobiko
