GolfNow.com writes that Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa's golf course is a "spectacular mountain golf experience" with scenery "as breathtaking as the play is challenging," and and GolfStyles magazine included the course in their 2010 list of Must Play Public Golf Courses. For $49, golf 18 holes at this scenic course in Young Harris with cart rental, range balls and lunch included, regularly $103.

A round at this 72-par Denis Griffiths-designed course that's 6,957 yards includes warm-up range balls and full use of the locker facilities. The course winds through wildlife preserves and streams framed by the North Georgia mountains. Following the round, retire to the clubhouse or the resort's formal dining room for lunch.

Choose any lunch entree at Brassie's clubhouse ($10.95) or the pasta buffet ($11.95) in the dining room, and enjoy a nonalcoholic beverage of your choice (up to $2.50).

For $89, two can golf 18 holes with lunch, regularly $207. Yearlong memberships are also available to Brasstown's golf course. Inquire with the pro shop at 706-379-4613.
