For $99 per night, follow in the footsteps of British and Dutch aristocrats with a stay at this historic 4-star Curacao hotel.

The Avila Hotel's lobby sits in an 18th-century mansion, a former home of British and Dutch governors. For the last 40 years, members of the Dutch royal family have stayed at the hotel during official visits.

Curacao, an island north of Venezuela known for its diving spots, is outside the Caribbean hurricane belt. So, summer and fall are less prone to rain than nearby islands. Visit for these nightly prices:
