The Phoenix Symphony's 2013-14 season is about to kick off, and subscribers can save 50% on tickets to "Opening Night" and "Symphony Idol" concerts this September. Weekend performances at Symphony Hall start at $16.50, regularly $33.  

All seating levels are 50% off except Price D. Prices range from $16.50-$41.50 (reg. $33-$83) for the following concerts:

  • "Opening Night" (Sept. 20-21 at 7:30 p.m.): features conductor Andrew Grams, Beethoven's 9th and The Phoenix Symphony Chorus singing "Ode to Joy."

  • "Symphony Idol" (Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 29 at 2 p.m.): includes "American Idol" contestants from recent seasons performing hits from Journey, the musical "Evita" and more. 

"Symphony Idol" vocalists Lakisha Jones, Haley Scarnato and Matt Giraud will sing hits including "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)," "Georgia On My Mind," "Don't Stop Believin'" and "I Will Always Love You."
