Featured on the National Geographic Channel's "Fish Warrior" show, Great River Fishing Adventures in Chilliwack has been helping people explore the Fraser River and catch massive white sturgeon since 1988. Take part in this exhilarating expedition with a four-hour guided fishing trip, including all necessary gear and tackle, for $125 a person, regularly $250.

Get on board with a staff that boasts more than 350 years of combined river experience and prep your line for one of two trips:

• Sturgeon fishing trip: Head down the Fraser River as you search for the largest freshwater fish in North America, which can grow to a maximum size of roughly 800 kg. and 6 metres in length during its 100-year lifespan. Track down this massive fish and learn to tag and scan your catch for the mark/recapture program before letting it back into the wild.

• Steelhead fishing trip: Experts will guide you down the right tributaries for the best spots of the season (February through April is prime time); great for all skill levels whether you're a rookie "steelheader" or an expert angler

We've also negotiated a deal that allows three friends to book a four-hour steelhead fishing tour together. For $299, regularly $600, you will get a private trip with just your group and the guide.
