The hotel was a little different than we normally book. Checking in was fairly simple however, the lobby was loud and it was hard to hear the person. She ended up charging us more than what we were quoted and didn’t realize it till the next day. However, the staff the next day was quick to takeoff the difference no problem at all. The room was huge bed comfortable with a little kitchenette. There were a couple of little things like the microwave wouldn’t completely open because it got stuck on the wall and our TV Chromecast did not work to be able to use Netflix or YouTube, etc. However, again the hotel was quick to ask if we wanted another broom or give us a discount off our stay. The breakfast that was included was decent however very cold the force morning and wasn’t well restocked. I had asked the person to warm up the pancakes, which he did but said he couldn’t warm them up anymore and they were still cold. So not sure what is given to staff to help warm these things up. It was mentioned at the desk about breakfast being cold and not restocked. The next morning it was much better. We are usually not picky travellers so these were all just minor things and they were instantly addressed. The parking is a little bit tricky to find and get out into the hotel. We would stay here again as a location was amazing and close to the Bell center, which we attended at Canadiens game. Everything was clean and staff were friendly.

The hotel itself is old and could use some updating, but the room was completely renovated, clean and comfortable. We were going to see a concert at the Centre Bell, and it was great that the hotel was walking distance to that as well as so many other great places to see in Montreal. We left our car parked the whole time and just enjoyed walking around the city.

WE are returnees to the Nouvel hotel. We like the area where it is located.
Other Comments
One minor comment regarding the warm water in the shower. It was lukewarm at best. Nothing else to mention. We enjoyed our stay.

Condo suite was not in good state of maintenance. Shower controls poor, calcium buildup sideways spray and leaking wand. Broken microwave. Broken desk chair. No decent seating. Low quality flooring. “Suite” part of rental/condo building in behind so very mixed quality. Restaurant food quality mediocre. Staff pleasant but overall definitely not a 4 star or even a 3-star property. I give this a 6/10.
Other Comments
EV charging in parking was a bonus. Property is kinda old and not well maintained or decorated. Tried to get a room change but reception was unable to accommodate.

We really enjoyed our stay in Montreal, the hotel was a little too far walking distance from Old Montreal. Having breakfast and parking included was good added value.
Other Comments
Our room was well appointed (safety deposit box, robes, glasses, instead of plastic, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave and a sitting area.. Our particular room was right beside the stairs, which are steel. Especially one night other guests were running up and down between floors and being very loud.

We stayed at this hotel because the Travelzoo upgrade was for a condo suite with a kitchenette (necessity for our family due to dietary needs) and included parking (which is otherwise quite expensive in downtown Montreal). The suite was cleanly and quiet. The location was a bit farther from our chosen destination spots for our visit but still within an hour walking distance. Conveniently located near a grocery store and metro station. We had a nice stay!
