If you're planning a trip to eastern Canada, chances are you are going to have to travel through Halifax, Nova Scotia. Halifax International Airport (YHZ) is the Atlantic Canadian hub for all domestic, regional and international services. There are flights to Halifax available from all major Canadian cities and many major cities worldwide. With all the volume, travel deals are even easier to come by to visit this eastern gem.
Due to its location on the Atlantic coast, the weather is usually milder or cooler than that of central Canada. The summer can be somewhat cooler than the 35 degree Celsius average, and a bit milder in the winter, higher than the -15 degrees Celsius.

If you venture downtown, you can view art at the various art galleries, be a part of history at the museums, or explore the many historic sites and churches. When travelling to the many different attractions in Halifax, you can use Halifax Metro Transit, which offer bus, Bus Rapid transit and ferry service across Halifax. The waterfront is spectacular from the ferries, where there are amazing views of Citadel Hill, Halifax Harbour and Georges Island.
