Ramblers will be spoilt for choice: Slaley Hall is a great base to explore the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is 30 minutes' drive from Northumberland National Park. If you fancy a day trip, soak up some history at Hadrian's Wall, step back in time at Beamish Museum, or take a leisurely stroll along Tynemouth Longsands beach—all are around 50 minutes' drive from the hotel. 

Guests get complimentary access to the leisure facilities, and a range of pampering treatments are offered for a fee at the onsite spa. Golfers can choose between two 18-hole championship golf courses (supplements apply)—The Priestman course and The Hunting course, which is "widely recognised as the top track in the north east" (Today's Golfer).

Dining and drinking options include three restaurants—offering light bites, afternoon teas, and brasserie classics—and two bars. We'd recommend a late night tipple in the wood-panelled Whiskey Snug with its cosy wingback chairs and coal fire.

Children aged four and under stay free. Children aged 5-12 can stay for an extra £5 per child, and children aged 13-16 can stay for an extra £7.50 per child on a bed-and-breakfast basis, when sharing with two adults.
