The Moorland Hotel sits in a prime spot in the centre of Dartmoor National Park. You can take a hike through some of the UK's finest countryside and explore the giant rock formations of Haytor Rocks. Alternatively, simply enjoy uninterrupted views of the 11 acres of grounds, complete with free-roaming animals. It must be an inspirational spot: Agatha Christie wrote her first novel while staying at the hotel.
In the evening, enjoy a dinner of hearty seasonal British fare with locally sourced produce. Then hunker down by the fire in the lounge with a local ale.
