About the hotel
The hotel is set in 1100 acres of countryside, a 10-minute drive from the South Downs National Park (an International Dark Sky Reserve) and the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The hotel is a great base from which to explore rolling hills and bustling East Sussex market towns nearby.
There are plenty of sites for history buffs to explore. Head to Lewes, 15 minutes' drive away, with its ruinous Norman castle, priory, and Tudor house that belonged to Anne of Cleves. Battle, where the Battle of Hastings took place in 1066, is around 40 minutes' drive away, as are the shops, bars, beaches, and famous pier of Brighton.
Facilities at the hotel include two golf courses, an extensive leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool, a spa pool, a sauna, a steam room and a gym, and a sumptuous spa offering a range of pampering treatments (fees apply).
The hotel's AA-Rosette-awarded Pavilion Restaurant overlooks the expansive grounds and the South Downs beyond. The AA praises the "well-executed modern cooking". After dinner, retire to the cosy lounge, or sample a tipple in the hotel bar.
Club Rooms have free Wi-Fi and private balconies. The AA says the bedrooms are "spacious and have good facilities; all have delightful views across the golf course to the countryside beyond".
Parking is free. Uckfield railway station is five minutes' drive away.
Children and dogs are not permitted as part of this offer.
