We found the whole place very nice. In particular, all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The food was good apart from the coffee at breakfast being only lukewarm on both mornings.

The hotel is well situated in the town centre about 10 minutes walk from the station. The only slight drawback was that the front doors were locked on Sunday evening as a security measure to prevent any undesirables from getting in and causing trouble. We just had to ring the bell to be let back in!

The staff were the friendliest and helpful we have ever encountered .the hotel was spotless throughout and the dinner and breakfast were of a high quality. Our only fault was the heat in our room 127! Found the fan the second night but still couldn't sleep properly.

Hotel was good, better than the image created by the poor condition of the car park, but you only get one chance to make a first impression! Staff efficient and pleasant, room OK but very warm and stuffy as the windows can't be opened more than a small amount as they have a problem with pigeons outside. The location, in the centre of Peterborough was good, but the ambience of the area, particularly after dark is edgey to say the least. All that said, we had a pleasant stay.

There are plenty of shops close to the hotel, but the cathedral and Peterborough museum are both worth a visit.

Extremely good value for money deal. The included meal on the first night was excellent. My wife had badly damaged her knee a few days before we arrived and,as there was no lift, the girl on reception immediately moved us to a room on a lower floor. Breakfast was perhaps slightly disappointing as the hot food had clearly been on the hotplate for a while, but it was passable.

I have judged this based on the cost of the Travelzoo deal but, if we had paid the standard hotel rate, then it would not had represented such good value.

It was difficult to find their car park. It has two entrances, both are long and single-width, so they aren't easy to see. The road in front of the hotel is one-way, so a simple left, then left again didn't work.. I finally got parked after one hour. Peterborough is full of one-way streets, double-yellow lines and number-plate scanners. The only safe place to pause was ASDA's car park. I have a car satnav and two smartphones!
Our first room was near a noisy fan, possibly from an adjacent building. Staff were happy to move us, but then we got the noise from their own fan. All night. I lost one night's sleep.

The staff were lovely. The inside of the building was lovely. The cathedral is nearby. There are lots of shops and wide walkways. But I need my sleep.

Bull hotel is in the perfect location. Just park the car up and walk everywhere.
Reception efficient, quick and friendly.
Breakfast is about standard. But very slow service. It also doesn't take much for a smile! Some of the staff look like they got out of bed the wrong side!
We had dinner on the first night... that was really nice.
The rooms are super small, so be prepared.

The booking was very easy; the hotel replied by email within an hour of sending anything to them. The meal on the first night was very good, as were the breakfasts on both days of our stay. Parking is free, and there is plenty of space in the car park. The room wasn't huge, and was rather warm (I think it was mainly due to a heated towel rail that was permanently on), but the hotel did provide a fan, which helped a lot. The bathroom, with combined bath and shower was good, and very clean, with very good toiletries (so my wife tells me :-)).

We used the stay to visit the cathedral at Peterborough (absolutely stunning building, but in a very run-down area), and also visit Cambridge (by train). The Bull is about 10 minutes walk from the railway station. Peterborough itself doesn't take two days to look around, but using the Bull as a base to explore the area is an excellent idea

Lovely old quint hotel, very clean and well kept. All the staff very helpful.
Although the room was very hot, a fan was provide in the room which helped to cool it down a bit.

The Bull Hotel is right in the middle of the city and with free parking. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, plus the Resturant and breakfast food excellent. We would highly recommend staying here again.

We came to Peterborough to see an East Midlands city and its cathedral. The bull hotel is well run and has great staff and food but it is an oasis stuck within a surrounding area which is dirty and grim. We take our hats off to the company who keep a well run hotel. Walk a bit further and you hit the cathedral area adn it gets whole lot pleaseanter.

Lovely weekend away, excellent value for money. Breakfast was great and the evening meal included in the package was very tasty. The Bull is in the centre of Peterborough so good for exploring on foot. The room was small but clean and it was nice to have a bath. All in all a great weekend.

Great hotel right in the town centre. Excellent staff and value for money. Only downside is that Peterborough is unfortunately not the nicest place to visit and partner said she wouldn’t feel safe venturing out in the town at night due to unsavoury element around.

Rooms extremely hot and horribly dated. Hideous view from our window looking out onto a brick wall. Staff disinterested and simply didn’t care. All staff seemed hungover and miserable and stressed. The whole hotel stank of grease like a chip shop. Would never return.

The hotel was great, good location. We had the 3 course dinner which was very tasty. Waitress was very helpful. The room was comfortable except the toilet was so close to the radiator my knees were touching the radiator which was very uncomfortable. This was because of the poor design of the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good except the eggs were left there too long without being changed.

One dish was undercooked and impossible to cut/eat. Our door key system rarely worked, had to go to reception frequently. The toilet paper was very poor quality - I use the quality of toilet paper to judge all hotels.
