Lovely grounds and building.

Spa only had pool in another building. Minimal facilities. Half term so full of kids. No where to relax. Pool area only had 1 toilet, no changing rooms but 2 showers. Not sure how often pool water is checked.

toasty from the cafe for lunch

lack of organisation, nothing about the visit was relaxing - screaming unruly kids in the pool, unisex changing rooms (not mentioned), lack of signage. The 6 layers of nail varnish were still wet after an hour, and most had chipped or peeled off by home time. Flies and bugs everywhere (sat inside) while having a cream tea (scones looked like yorkshire puddings - brown and crunchy on the outside). Stained and crumbed sofas.

Lovely relaxed day. Swimming pool a bit out of the way and noisy children arrived!

A lovely experience and great value.

The cream tea is just that - scones, cream and jam. The hotel serve a full afternoon tea so we were left feeling a bit hungry and disappointed after just scones. So we ordered sandwiches which were excellent, albeit at an extra cost.

Staff could have been more helpful, ensure you know what the offer covers so you can ask for it, e.g. Robes and towels as everything had to be requested. Not impolite just not helpful.Disappointed that the hotel could not provide a bacon roll when they were serving breakfast, they did let us have pastries.
Other Comments
Not a spa just a hotel with treatment rooms, by the crèche, nowhere to sit in bathrobe and relax. Lounge was for guests of the hotel. Walk through car park to treatments. One hairdryer by pool, old fashioned keep the button pressed in to work. No shelf by hairdryer for brush etc.
