Took 2 dogs with us - large room in modern part of building - perfect! Easy walking up through the gardens to the hills for the dogs and us - walked to a lovely cafe with a natural spring. Went out to drink great beer and dinner - so easy from the hotel

Great Staff made this stay special. It's just a shame the hotel is not as dog friendly as it could be. Sadly, dogs are allowed in the bar, unlike the vast majority of dog friendly hotels we have stayed in. Hence, we opted to go to a local dog friendly pub after dinner in the hotel.

Very much improved since my last visit (during Covid lockdown mind). Very friendly staff, good food, particularly the breakfast, quality styled rooms (stayed in an Elgar King Room) plenty of free parking and tastefully decorated and spacious lounge areas throughout the ground floor. Very good experience. Will go again in the near future. Well done Abbey.
