Whilst the food was good and there were some very good elements there were also some elements which we felt did not quite hit the mark. Substituting my oyster (I am unable to eat them) with broccoli seemed somewhat mean and the lamb was not particularly tender. Whilst this was a tasting menu we felt the portions were too small. Sadly we do not feel the need to return.

We had a lovely time. The tasting menu was amazing. Fish course was outstanding but all of the courses were great. Lovely atmosphere and restaurant design overlooking the sea. Shout out to the lovely members of staff who were all very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Made for a wonderful relaxing evening. We will be back.

Food extremely good BUT we would not pay the standard price of £45 for three fine dining portions even with the amuse bouche. £15 or more a course for the food presented is now sadly far too common among fine dining establishments. And with a bottle of wine from around £35 up, profit must be very big. Perhaps if they offered fairer prices, they wouldn't need to pay Travelzoo to get them customers!

The food and the venue itself was excellent despite the rain although we felt the wine list was deliberately excessive even at the cheaper end. I have downgraded the service but not on account of the waitress or the wine waitress who provided the good service one would expect. The head waiters service however was not. His explanation of the dishes was perfunctory and difficult to interpret because it was done so quickly that he disappeared before one could even ask a question. There was no attempt or even time to establish any rapport unlike the others setting out the plates and the wine. This dampened an otherwise very enjoyable afternoon

The tasting menu we were offered with the Travelzoo voucher was very good but we made a mistake by choosing the drinks pairing. Thinking back, the wrong menu was on our table when we arrived from which we chose the drinks pairing. We were disappointed to pay £45 each for a drop of beer, a weak gin and 3 small glasses of wine.
