Excellent mini break. Room clean and spacious. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. There was clearly a problem in the kitchen on the night we booked an evening meal but the staff were very communicative and apologetic to us and threw in some complimentary breads while we were waiting......and the meal was worth the wait!

We didn't travel by car as we were led to believe the hotel was only three minutes away. But arrived to find that was three minutes + by car and the road to the hotel was an A road with no pavements. Therefore we had to use cabs back and forth to Battle .

We had an excellent time here. The building and grounds are beautiful and so well looked after. We had a spacious and comfortable room with the little extras which make such a difference. Service by everyone was faultless. We had dinner and breakfast which were delicious. It’s in a good position for visiting the coast and we enjoyed the country walk into Battle from the hotel. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
