The hotel is peacefully located in 21 acres of landscaped grounds in the Broads National Park.
Eve's Bar & Lounge has panoramic views of the Broads. It's a great spot for a cream tea, a pre-dinner drink, or a bar snack.
The Crooked Barn Restaurant serves a seasonal menu in a characterful waterside barn. It has a high vaulted ceiling, wobbly beams, and exposed brick walls.
The Daily Telegraph praises the "spacious and pleasantly furnished rooms". It also commends the "decent restaurant set amongst beautiful gardens".
Popular seaside towns Southwold and Great Yarmouth are less than 30 minutes' drive away. The Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve is also nearby.

The restaurant staff were lovely. Always polite, professional and helpful. Pity they were having to deal with lots of complaints from visitors.

Rooms very basic and in need of total refurbishment. No attention to detail with cleaning. Bath mat left as directed for replacement as found to be soiled on arrival. Was not changed. Menu very restricted with several items unavailable. Cheese plate on one evening lacking portion of cheddar and breakfast on last day disappointing with restricted items of poor quality and on one occasion orange juice definitely diluted. On commenting on our disappointing experience on leaving we were met with a rather hostile, unprofessional receptionist who has definitely chosen the wrong profession.

Beautiful location, easy to find, very large gardens wth access to Oulton Broad Coastal path & Marina, perfect for anyone who likes walks or staying with a dog. Staff were very welcoming to us & our dog who loved his welcome box. Accommodation was spacious filled with character. Food & service was 1st class. We will certainly return for another stay.

The food and drinks menu prices are not for the faint-hearted, although the quality of the food, particularly breakfast, is very good. The all-femqle staff were very professional, particularly Carenza. Do not book dinner when there as also a wedding booked. As the staff explained, they were a chef down due to this, and food took longer than normal to be served.

Went for a mini break and we lived it. Yes there were a couple of issues but probably due to the wedding that was going on. I have spoken to reception and just wanted to inform them but nit as a complaint. I would happily go again and happily recommend it.
The issues were the 1 hour and 5 minute wait from ordering the food to receiving it and did nit even get offered a bread roll to nibble on. My friend is vegetarian but there were no vegetarian sausages available at breakfast.
As I said nothing major but these points need addressing.❤❤

Very enjoyable stay.
Staff extremely couteous, freindly and professional.
The executive room was very spacious comfortable with bath and shower arrangements available.
Set in lovely open grounds in a countryside setting.

Good value for a 3 star hotel. You have to pay for everything as you go - no room bills. Small double bed. Good location. Llimited lounge area. High timbered framed communal rooms lack atmosphere. Very small TV sets in rooms.

We thought that we were going to a Country Hotel for peace and quiet. However the second day there was a wedding, which wasn't too bad, but the on the third day there was a music festival, of which we were never forewarned. The festival was large enough for there to be a Police presence. Hardly the quiet stay that we anticipated.

Nice location and pleasant place and clean. Breeder the manager was nice and over worked trying to keep things in line. But the breakfast chef and his staff needs replacing urgently.

The most beautiful setting. The gardens are wonderful and the room was fine. They need to improve their breakfast service, we waited 45 minutes for a cup of coffee and for our breakfast order to be taken. There was no apology for the delay. We went to reception to find bus and train timetables but there weren't any and the receptionist had no clue how to help us. Even so, we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at the Ivy House Country Hotel was exceptional from arrival to departure, the staff, restaurant and accommodation was first class.
We had a courtyard room to accommodate ourselves and our two dogs, which was spacious, warm and very comfortable.
All the staff we encountered were polite, helpful and always on hand to offer advice on areas to visit.
The weather was great and the coastal towns were all very nice for a weekend visit.
The Travelzoo offer is really good value for money and would recommend it.

This is our third visit. Still value for money but there were obvious signs of cost cutting particularly with the dinner menu which was not such great value. Service for breakfast was slow and in the second morning it took an hour. Not sure why we were given our toast before our cooked breakfast. However the room was lovely and the location is good too.

Our accessible room was spotless and spacious.
The staff were all very friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were very good with a goid choice. Evening meal was good value with the discount included in the offer. The grounds were well kept and a pleasure to see.

Very enjoyable stay, we had an excellent room, loved the grounds and being able to walk directly out of hotel to Oulton Broad. Service sometimes could have been better, dining staff seemed a little inexperienced but were willing and pleasant. Food choices were limited and breakfast buffet poor.

The setting of the hotel was quiet, with deer roaming the grounds, yet within easy reach of shops and other facilities. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was very good, being freshly cooked and served hot. The Executive room we had was very spacious.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay: two couples, two rooms and a dog. The location was perfect..an easy stroll to the boats and the hotel estate was peaceful and well designed. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing everything that was needed. The staff were very friendly and obliging. The bar and restaurant areas were beautiful; the evening meal choices were good and the prices were sensible. The breakfast was excellent. The young staff were being well trained and worked hard. It was a good base to explore the local area.

Hotel is in a nice location. There were very few guests, apart from those attending weddings who were catered for separately, so very quiet in the main building. - bar staff were polite but some very young and untrained. OK for a short break

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Ivy House Country Hotel. The staff were great and very helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the location great just backing onto the Oulton Broad. Breakfast lacked a little selection of yogurts, pastries and cereals but cooked breakfast was overall good. That said overall our stay was overall good value for money.

First visit, which we thoroughly enjoyed . Heather the receptionist was not very welcoming or smiley . That notwithstanding , the hotel , food and staff were excellent. Particular mention to Carenza ( assistant general manager) who was the epitome of professionalism and friendliness.

Outlooks from dining / breakfast areas was good ( the great weather helped too ). Restaurant food and service was excellent and provided great quality and value for money .Our room was spacious and fine for our needs.
Disappointed in some of evening meals - didn't have our first or second choice on first night and overpriced for what you get. Triple cooked chips are a must .

Very sterlie atmosphere. Staff super. Cracked sink in room which was generally 'tired'. Took option of 'special T-bone' grill pork chop for supper (£27 ) ....disappointing as it was basically an ordinary chop and certainly value for money. Not sure why £20 surcharge for our dog who slept in her cage and jn the car whilst we had breakfasts.
