Food was excellent especially the beef in the evening. The room was however tired and was surprised not to have a powerpoint on either side of the bed so important for charging your phone.

Very nice accommodation. Accessible room was very good for our needs.
Other Comments
Only negative comment was our evening meal experience. The Main course of prawn and crayfish salad was unsatisfactory. The whole dish was an over abundance of various salad leaves, a meagre serving of prawns and a few croutons. Certainly it was not a main course. We were very happy with the breakfasts.

Really nice place. Very welcoming staff. They even sorted us out an early “takeaway” breakfast as we had an early start on the Saturday. The food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We had a slight issue with shower ( user error!!) which they sorted immediately. There was a wedding on Saturday night but very little noise. Great location and wonderful value for money. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Ivy House Country Hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and could not have been more helpful. The dining room in a converted barn made it special and the hotel grounds were extensive, beautiful and well presented. We felt very relaxed there. But the star attraction was our room which was actually a suite of rooms! Ok the only way of getting there was by climbing two narrow staircases but all was forgiven when we got to the top: It was very clean with two separate bedrooms, a large kitchen with cooker, fridge, cutlery and lots of storage space plus a separate large lounge with comfortable sofas and TV and a delightful view from the window! The location is great for the Suffolk Broads nearby. We had stayed in the same hotel in 2018, also with Travelzoo, and as that was such a good stay we decided to repeat the experience this time and were not disappointed.
Other Comments
The breakfast and dinner menus were quite short but the staff were flexible and would serve almost any non-standard requests.

We were booked for three nights but unfortunately my wife became unwell so we only spent two nights in the hotel. Hotel very cosy , food good and staff exceptional. Our room was a little basic but we did enjoy the ivy hotel.
