The staff at this hotel were great. I liked the food and the service. I just felt the rooms were very dated and in need of some cosmetic improvements. There was mould around the window sills in the room. The carpets were a bit worn. It just needs an update.
In the bathroom the lead on the glass was bent all over the place. The bathroom looked like it was from a hospital. It didn't feel very nice. The taps had missing tops. The finish on the bath and surround was very unattractive.

4th visit to this hotel.
The main part of the hotel is a stunning Cotswolds building and there is a newer block containing further bedrooms to the rear.
The hotel is perfectly situated with fantastic views over Gloucestershire.
Our room was large and spacious and very comfortable just looking a little bit tired perhaps but still excellent value for money and spotlessly clean.
The team at Hatton Court are always so friendly and accommodating and really can’t do enough for you.
All of the food we had was absolutely excellent.
Our cream tea on arrival consisted of two scones each and tea or coffee of your choice which was replenished if required.
Our main meals were all beautifully presented and very flavoursome.
Breakfast this morning was equally if a high quality and with plenty of choice.
We would definitely return and can recommend highly.

The hotel was warm and welcoming, the staff were charming and very helpful, our room was warm, comfortable and quiet, and our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. We may go back when the weather is warmer so we can sit out on the decking area which has a great view.

We were a little apprehensive after reading some negative reviews but no need to worry, the hotel was a lovely building in a nice setting with clean and tidy driveway and garden area and beautiful inside.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but very professional too.
We had our two dogs with us and fully expected a lower standard room which often happens but we were in a very nice room, warm and comfortable.
The bathroom was dated as people had said but it was clean and warm with plenty of hot water so no complaints from us.
We ran holiday let for 15 years and I am a clean freak so will not return to many places but Hatton Court was above expectations and we would definitely return .
The food in the restaurant was of a high standard with plenty to choose from and the breakfast menu is one of the best I’ve ever seen! Thank you all for a lovely stay

We stayed for two nights (Friday and Saturday) and from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was warm and cosy with a dual aspect, jacuzzi bath, king sized bed- perfect!
We ate in The Tara restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was wonderful- we had the sirloin steak and lamb burger one night and the sea bass and chicken supreme on the next- all the food was served piping hot and was delicious, as was the Australian Shiraz.
Breakfast was outstanding- we have never seen so much choice on a menu and each morning it was difficult to choose.
The weekend was such good value; a welcome drink on arrival, £25 per person dining credit (main meals ranged from £15 upwards) a yummy afternoon tea, with two scones per person, one plain, one fruit with jam and clotted cream.
All for £219 per couple for two nights bed and breakfast- amazing value and a perfect break away in January, wouldn’t hesitate in returning or recommending. A big thank you to Sam and Jackie, for making us feel so at home.

Only negative was the heat in the restaurant, it really was quite uncomfortable and the bar area was chilly. But apart from that- wonderful! Thank you

The whole experience at the hotel was fantastic. The staff were very helpful, the room fantastic and the meal superb. We will come back next year to celebrate my partners next birthday.
I love this hotel. The building is beautiful and public areas tastefully furnished and decorated with outdoor seating areas affording fabulous views Check in and check out was seamless and receptionist was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Our bedroom was in the annex, spacious with a large bathroom containing a jacuzzi bathtub and complimentary toiletries. Whilst the bath was deep and in good working order it was clean however marked from many years of use. . The room was warm and comfortable with fantastic views of Cotswold scenery and there was a kettle and complimentary coffee and milk sachets and several choices of tea.
Breakfast was substantial with possibly the best menu choice we’ve experienced in a long while. We ate in the hotel each evening and again the food was delicious and excellent quality. The service was impeccable and all staff members were friendly, efficient and a real asset to the hotel.
This was our second time at Hatton Court Hotel and we will return again. I would highly recommend the hotel if you enjoy comfortable accommodation with excellent food and extremely attentive staff.

Incredible views over the valley but only a small garden. There was road noise from M5 which was disappointing. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Our room was in the newer block and the hall carpet should be replaced. Outside we had a PIR light which shone into the bedroom and came on and off throughout the night.

Oh my what a super hotel. Traditional Cotswold country house.
Well presented public areas. We stayed in Room 6 which had a four poster bed and the biggest bath we have ever seen.
Food in restaurant was extremely well presented and clearly the chefs took pride in their work.
What makes this hotel stand out for us was the impeccable service received from all the staff. We simply cannot fault them for their kindness and attention. We will definitely be back. Thank you everyone at Hatton Court for making our stay so enjoyable.
