We did a road trip around Wiltshire, Somerset, and Dorset and The Queens Arms food was some of the best we had. The staff were fantastic, especially Sharky, Danny, and Lily. We'd happily stay again and would love to try their Sunday lunch - it looked delicious.

The staff were friendly and effiicent. The food was excellent The room had a very comfortable bed and the bathroom had a powerful shower over a bath. Unusually the bedroom had no where to hang anything apart from a hook on the back of the door. Also the bathroom did not have anywhere to hang the towels, which were of an excellent quality.

It's a lovely furnished Gastro Pub in a quiet country lane, 15 to 20min min drive outside Sherborne. As the stable rooms that we were entitled with the voucher where fully booked we paid extra for rooms in the Pub. Our room was of generous size and light, beautifully furnished, very comfortable king size bed. The bathroom/shower was big and lovely smelling locally produced liquid soaps had been provided. On our first night we ate at the Pub. The menu is limited but sufficient and the food tasted delicious. We thought it is a bit pricey. The pub has a nice atmosphere and we would happily recommend it to friends.

The Pub is a reachable by driving through narrow country lanes.

We stayed here as part of a cycling holiday. The pub is situated on a national cycle network route. Lovely old pub with quality food

We had a lovely couple of days with you, comfy room and quality food. Just a couple of things would have made it perfect for us. As the pub is situated on a national cycle network route it would be great if you had a lockable place to store bikes. Also I had mentioned when booking that I am vegan and was assured catering would be no problem but there was a very limited selection on the menu. I had the same both nights which was fine as it was delicious. I found the breakfast menu very restrictive. A muesli and plant based milk would have been really good. A great 2 days all the same. Thank you

Room provided on arrival which we had to stay in for one night until a more appropriate room became available the next day and then as our evening meal only being offered food from a bbq plus berries and ice cream instead of a 3 course meal from a la carte menu which was what we paid for and expected

We had a lovely stay at this off the beaten track pub in the countryside. Loved the backdrop to the pub terrace and the walks available on the doorstep were excellent. Ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy good hikes and a restful stay. Sherbourne is within 4 miles or so if you want to check out the abbey and search out some town life you can have the best of both worlds.

Sharing platters with local cheese / meat wouldn't go amiss on the menu and as a bonus they don't require cooking!

The Queen's Arms is beautifully decorated the food was excellent and so was the service. They are having problems recruiting house keeping staff and the room wasn't cleaned and the towels not changed just the bed made. This was the only disappointing part. Also they could do with a reception/check in area.
