Ex silent and interesting food. Spoiled on the last night when the violet potatoes were barely half cooked. Chef said they were meant to be served so dente! What nonsense, admit your mistakes. We won't be returning.

Bedroom decor and furniture was very tired. Bed very uncomfortable. Bathroom- toilet ran constantly with trickling water! Bathroom sink tap was extremely difficult to operate.

A bit disappointed with the inclusive 3 course dinner. Very small portions and it wasn't pointed out that the potatoes and sides were extra, which we would have paid for had we known. Needless to say we didn't eat there on the 2nd night. In the past when we've gone through TZ on these inclusive deals we were able to choose from the menu. Not so here, they had a special menu for Travelzoo customers.

We had a really lovely couple of days at the Queens Arms, the staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful. Our room was very nice, well equipped and peaceful. Breakfast, dinner and cream tea were all excellent!

A more friendly welcome you would not get anywhere, from the moment we arrived the staff greeted us with lovely smiles, this did not change once though out our stay. We felt so at home we stayed an extra night! Nothing was too much trouble, you only had to ask and it was arranged

The food is top quality, not your normal pub grub - if you wanted to have something off the menu, again no problem, somehow it appeared, service like this is so lacking and very much appreciated.

Management should make it clear what is incl. and what is not. ie B&B does not incl a glass of juice with breakfast, this is extra. The 1st night evening meal does not incl. a potato, this is extra even though asked would we like it, no mention it was extra

Quality food. Efficient pleasant staff. Owners are lovely couple. We had great visit - one unpleasant resident but staff politely handled the problem. Very relaxing break - Thankyou The Queens Arms staff.

Not a five star hotel. Hotel and room was attractive but room quite small and not clean, very dusty particularly the headboard! Food and drink very expensive although some included in the package. A full English breakfast would usually include more than the cooked element, it was not and many guests were complaining. The owner and his wife were on the staff, he did not take the opportunity to chat with guests or ask about our stay, and she served breakfast in a very clumsy way! We paid for extras as we went along but on leaving somebody had added beer and coffee to our room tab, grudgingly removed by the owner

The location of this hotel is beautiful, if anything a little too remote! It is clear that money has been spent on refurbishment and we found it sad that the important details were lacking. Rooms should be spotlessly clean, service impeccable and if you're going to charge £16 for 2 G&Ts, serve in a nice glass or at least a clean one! Would it hurt to include fruit, yoghurt and juice with breakfast? The full price of our deal would have been £410 and if we'd paid this I would have been more vocal in complaining. As it was, most of the guests seemed to be on the Travelzoo reduced price package, and we all seemed to feel our treatment reflected this cut price, rather than being a special experience. What a shame!
