More Reasons to Go

  • The hotel's contemporary restaurant offers all day dining, Sunday roasts, afternoon tea, and brunch. There is a terrace looking out to the sea. Plus (available for hire at a supplement) a heated outdoor pod for private dining.
  • The hotel is less than 10 minutes' drive from Clacton-on-Sea. This bustling coastal town has a pleasure pier, beaches, theatres, and family-friendly amusements.
  • The genteel seaside resort of Frinton-on-Sea is around 15 minutes away by car. Find a promenade, colourful Victorian-style beach huts, and tea rooms aplenty.
  • Spot common and grey seals at Hamford Water National Nature Reserve. Or visit the Essex Wildlife Trust Naze Nature Discovery Centre, situated beside Naze Tower. Both are approximately 20 minutes' drive away.
  • Lavenham is just under an hour's drive from the hotel. It's considered Britain's best preserved Medieval village and was a filming location for "Harry Potter".

Excellent stay, staff are so pleasant friendly and so willing to help when making enquiries. Room was clean and comfortable, lovely bathroom although a strange small sink, otherwise perfect. Bed was comfortable and clean, hard to fault this hotel.

This hotel is more like a pub with accommodation. It has a lovely outside seating area and garden. Friendly, welcoming staff, good restaurant and bar. Room was pretty standard clean and comfortable.

The hotel is situated in a lovely position. we stayed 2 nights & paid for a sea view. our room was very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel. We had our evening meal there which we enjoyed. The staff were so friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them. Look forward to visiting the Kingscliff again.

The breakfast was good when you got it, I had to get up several times to ask for items, re orange juice, bread which you had to toast yourself . Not the sort of hotel that I enjoy.

Restaurant were friendly and the ambiance was good. I think that regular paying guests with rooms overlooking the sea would be extremely happy.

As Travelzoo guests we were allocated a room in what is basically an add on shed at the back of the hotel overlooking the carpark. The back and forth of rattling waste trolleys and the attending recycling lorry wakened us at 6.00 am. Unfortunately the restaurant appeared to suffer shortages from the menu. "Sorry the mussles are off". Ok I'll have the skate. ... "Sorry that's off too" This is a seaside location!
