Why We Love This Deal

With a coastline that stretches for more than 350 miles, Essex is a super spot for a sojourn beside the sea. The Kingscliff Hotel looks out across the waves and has traditional seaside towns, wildlife havens, and long sandy beaches all nearby. A 2-night B&B stay is less than £35 per person, per night.

What's Included

  • Valid daily until 30 September 2024
  • A 2-night stay for two people in a Standard Double or Twin room, with daily full English breakfast

"Lovely welcome by receptionist, and all staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is smart and attractively decorated, with a great position directly across the road from the seafront. The restaurant serves good food all day, from brunch through lunch and dinner."

More Reasons to Go

  • The hotel's restaurant has a contemporary ambience, with all day dining, Sunday roasts, afternoon tea, and brunch available. There is also a terrace looking out to the sea and (available for hire at a supplement) a heated outdoor pod for a private dining experience.
  • The hotel is less than 10 minutes' drive from Clacton-on-Sea—a bustling coastal town with a pleasure pier, beaches, theatres, and family-friendly amusements.
  • The genteel seaside resort of Frinton-on-Sea, with its promenade, colourful Victorian-style beach huts, and tea rooms aplenty, is around 15 minutes away by car.
  • Spot common and grey seals at Hamford Water National Nature Reserve or learn more about the local wildlife and migratory birds at the Essex Wildlife Trust Naze Nature Discovery Centre, situated beside Naze Tower. Both are approximately 20 minutes' drive away.
  • The village of Lavenham, noted for its 15th-century church and half-timbered Medieval cottages, is just under an hour's drive from the hotel. It is considered to be Britain’s best preserved Medieval village and was a filming location for "Harry Potter".

Our stay this time was sadly not quite as good as before. Staff were insufficient to cope with bar demands on a very busy Sat night. Room not laid up as agreed and reminded on each occasion. Leah, Senior Receptionist, very kindly remedied. Shower items: one empty and the other facing wrong way so unable to read label, remedied by the housekeeping but on second day. Sunday night, sold out of roast dinners when we arrived for our 7 booking. Other diners were equally disappointed. Fish and chips excellent, which we then ate on both nights. Restaurant waiter lovely and very attentive. Breakfast staff seemingly untrained and uninterested. Queried original bill as overpaid when booking, refunded by receptionist. Monday breakfast lacking their usual fresh fruit cocktail, choice was cut water melon and whole oranges and apples. Our sea facing room is lovely and will certainly return, hoping that these problems are resolved.

Good. Relaxing. Not crowded which is what we like.

The grey colour in the double room was a bit gloomy to wake up to.

Excellent location right opposite the beach and a short drive from there through to all the shops and restaurants of Clacton-on-Sea, as well. Relaxing stay in the hotel and staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were great, too!

Freshly decorated upstairs, shower cubicle not over a bath. Sea view was a bit of a stretch as sea was only just visible from our window. . Lovely garden.

Another guest bursting into our room because the reception staff had given him the wrong room key and we had already been their 3 days ! The apology from the staff was very mediocre, sorry ! Then to cap it all following our return to the room after dinner the staff had cancelled our room key ! The resturant staff where extremely noisy shouting to each other at each end of the breakfast room whilst we where having breakfast and cleaning down the next table to us with a spray whilst we where eating breakfast. The evening menu was exactly the same as last April no change to it !

To be woken up by the dust cart reversing and emptying bins below our room window at 5:30 in the morning!! was just not enjoyable and far from conducive to an enjoyable stay!
