More Reasons to Go
- Broadstairs' Victoria Gardens, clifftop promenade, and Viking Bay are less than 10 minutes' walk from the hotel
- The Yarrow is housed in a Jacobethan-style building constructed in 1894 as a place for children to convalesce. The Grade II-listed building was extensively renovated prior to opening in 2016, while certain features such as extra-wide corridors (to provide the children with room to play while they recovered) have remained intact
- The Yarrow's award-winning executive head chef, Ben Williams, has years of experience at Michelin-starred restaurants and uses locally sourced Kent produce together with seasonal flavours in the hotel's tasting menu, which is included as part of this deal
- The Dickens House Museum is a 10-minute stroll from The Yarrow. It houses artefacts of the Victorian author and was the home of Mary Pearson Strong, who was the inspiration for the character Betsey Trotwood in David Copperfield. Charles Dickens penned this much-loved novel while staying in Broadstairs
- Follow the coastline north to arrive at: Stone Bay, "a gorgeous sweep of beach…lined with multicoloured beach huts" (National Geographic); Joss Bay, with surf lessons and stand-up paddle board sessions available until October; and Botany Bay, with its photogenic chalk stacks
- Margate is approximately 15 minutes' drive from the hotel. Widely regarded as the epitome of a British seaside town, its home to amusement arcades and a retro funfair, Dreamland. You'll also find vintage shops, a distinct cultural vibe, and the Turner Contemporary Gallery
