Why We Love It

  • The Elizabethan property has three AA Silver Stars and an AA Rosette
  • The hotel's Mulberry Spa has a steam room, a monsoon shower and a sauna. The hotel also has an 18-hole golf course
  • Sandringham Estate, the Queen's Norfolk retreat, is around 15 minutes' drive from the hotel
  • Heacham Manor's first inhabitants are thought to have been French monks, and there is rumoured to be an underground tunnel linking the property with a ruined Hunstanton chapel
  • Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve, which has a long stretch of sandy beach, is less than 30 minutes' drive away

Parking is free. The nearest railway station is King's Lynn, less than 30 minutes' drive away.

All the staff were more than helpful. We upgraded to the accessible room which was stunning with doors to outside, overlooking the golf course. We also booked for dinner and enjoyed a three course meal of an exceptional standard. Breakfast was also delicious. All the staff, hotel and food was of a quality we were not expecting, easily matching that of a 4 star.
Other Comments
My package had an hour in the spa, however every time I called to arrange it, the therapists were busy and on leaving several messages we missed out. My husband has mobility issues so the hour in the thermal suite would have been massively beneficial to him so we were very disappointed, That's the only reason I marked down the Staff / Service to 4 stars.

Quiet room comfortable bed. Easy reach of hunstanton cromer coast.
Other Comments
The cream tea was not a cream tea. It was a cup of tea and a tiny scone Lots of additional charges. No free guest entitlement to use leisure club it inurred a ten pounds per person fee but was booked out for hen party. Very inexperienced staff. Meal choices disappointing. Service at dinner and breakfast very slow. Expensive in house bar. Broken radiator valve in room so no way of cooling room.
