Ideal location, staff very friendly. We received an upgrade to river view. Room was very comfortable , excellent bed linen and towels. Looked as though hotel had been recently refurbished. Breakfast was very good quality and very good choice. Excellent value for money.

Very attractive hotel with period features. The booking by phone was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed and we had an excellent cooked breakfast.

Superb room overlooking the high street with a partial view of the river.
Other Comments
My only criticism would be that our welcome cocktail had been forgotten, and we were not advised that there was a lift up to the rooms, and bearing in mind we are both in our 70s this would have been useful as we had a few stairs to negotiate.
