Discount available on places to eat in Woodstock. Stagecoach bus outside Marlborough Arms direct to Oxford very convenient. A great 3 days. Thank you Marlborough. We hope to return.

Perfect place for our visit to 'Christmas at Blenheim Palace'. 10 min walk away. Bed was massive in an extremely large, well equipped bedroom. Comfort appears to be the mantra of this hotel. The reception and bar area was intimate and cosy with a roaring fire and a welcome hot drink together with delicious scones. The breakfast on offer was either a full english or continental and was plentiful, served by attentive staff. Overall the place was exactly what we wanted...hence the five star review. Well done The Marlborough Arms.

The hotel is well situated on the high street but, because of this, traffic noise did affect my sleep. If we stayed again, we would ask for a room at the back. The room itself was spacious and warm. The shower was good. The breakfast was excellent. There was a wide range of cold options including pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese and ham. Hot options were cooked to order, which I much prefer to a buffet. The sausage and bacon were good quality. Service was excellent. All staff that we dealt with were both very friendly and efficient and are a credit to the hotel.
