We had a lovely stay the staff were friendly and accommodating. We would certainly go back again. My only observation was that the decor needed an uplift.

Good location in lovely grounds. Old building with lots of original features. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Room very comfortable. Arrived earlier than check in time but the receptionist found us a room that was ready and we were able to check in earlier. We had to pay a supplement for the included evening meal as the other menu choices were not to our liking. However what we had was very good.

Bar food was shocking and overpriced and was left....no where else to eat nearby so went to bed hungry! Bar prices expensive but this was expected. Ladies toilets in reception were very smelly!!

Meals and general surroundings were great. The downside of our stay was the room, in particular the solid mattress and winter weight duvet. M

After initial confusion with room booking the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely room with a lovely view. The staff were all very polite, helpful and friendly, even though they were very busy with a wedding also taking place. The meals were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely and welcoming. Room was warm and comfortable with lovely view over the back gardens and lakes. Our meal at night was delicious, so much so we had three courses! My first choice was not as expected I ordered the crispy lamb breast. It was actually pulled Lamb which was then made into like a fritter, it was delicious! As was our main course. And the hot chocolate brownie, was so light and fresh. 5 * Breakfast was also really good and buffet style. Nice to be able to help yourself to as much or as little as you need, with plenty of choices.. definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back soon.

We arrived early evening on our first night, the staff were helpful and got us booked in straight away, checked into our room then came back down for a coffee on the Terrace, a fantastic day out visiting port sunlight which is fascinating to learn about the Lever Bros, then called at wirral country park.
