Wonderfully warm welcome. All staff were lovely and helpful. Our room was lovely and we had a wonderful view. The amenities in the room were lacking. We should have had: robes and slippers; bottled water; upgraded toiletries in the superior room booked, but we didn’t. I called reception and asked for a robe and it was happily brought to our room. Breakfast good. Excellent value for money.

The hotel is tired and needs updating. The room and bathroom need deep cleaning. The bathroom taps and the kettle need descaling. The breakfast was mediocre. The croissants were hard. Not much to look forward to. The dining room was uninviting. We had dinner out because we did not fancy eating in the hotel restaurant. The waiting staff need more training on how to be more welcoming. I found them a bit lacking in enthusiasm.

Only complaint was the hotel was busy and we queued for quite a long time to check in, and then at the bar and at breakfast. Staff were lovely and polite and the room was larger than expected with a view of the waterfront. Some larger groups in the hotel were noisy in the bar so we preferred to go out.

Good location for estuary side attractions and easy to walk into the city. Had problems with the TV not working on most channels and the bed was too firm - no other suitable rooms to change. Breakfast was OK, they were still getting to grips with Covid- best practice and it must be challenging for many hotels - especially as this was only 1 week after opening. Excellent VFM via Travelzoo

Location was great. Easy to get to the main attractions. A bit penny pinching having to pay for car parking. Restaurant and bar a bit austere and lacking in atmosphere. Drinks very expensive but the food was passable.

Probably needs some money spent on it to upgrade.

Great hotel in a convenient location near to shops and bars. Staff were friendly and helpful and we felt safe and confident with The Covid safety measures in place. Room was spacious with modern decor and the bed was very comfortable. Although we couldn’t have breakfast in the restaurant because of Covid we were able to choose from a large selection of breakfast items and hot drink which were booked for pickup in the hotel at a time of our choice. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back again!
