Enjoyed This
"Unlike any other hotel I’ve ever stayed at. More an experience than a classic hotel stay. The evening meal was fabulous but breakfast was a big disappointment. Not enough staff to offer an acceptable level of service. Enjoyed the one night stay but wouldn’t recommend it for any longer"

Olde worlde surroundings. Pleasant and helpful staff. Evening meal was delicious. Comfortable king size brass bed and fluffy towels in the modern en suite shower room. Delighted with two night stay.

Very laid back, casual staff; modern luxury in period surrounds; quiet and serene (apart from some strange plumbing noises!) If the history evades you and you are unsure of whose portrait you're looking at etc, all is revealed by the excellent tour guide - not to be missed!

Enjoyed stay in quirky hotel. Evening meal lovely but breakfast somewhat disorganised with only one waiter for 14 people. Staff very pleasant. Our room was not serviced during our two-night stay.

I was very dissappointed with our room with two single beds. It was very small, had no mirror apart from bathroom. I thought the price for that room should have been much lower as all the other rooms were much bigger and nicer
