The property is Georgian and has some lovely rooms and features. Andy was very welcoming and so was Ryan when we met him at breakfast. On first impressions of the room, yes it was very dated but it was quite in keeping with the olde worlde charm. For what we paid for two nights it was fine. Beautiful area to explore.
Other Comments
The first flight of stairs carpet was threadbare and apart from being a possible hazard, it doesn’t look good on first impressions. Also perhaps upgrade the hairdryer as ours was rather old.

The property itself is or could be gorgeous. Its location is fabulous right up the road from the Priory and some beautifully stunning villages and an Abbey ruin. Our host was friendly so I hate to leave this review but it is better to be honest in my mind as people will pay good money and are, at least, entitled to value for money .

Our room was filthy ( ( a thick layer of dust on the curtain valances and inside the chest of drawers where we'd have put our clothes), windows hadn't been cleaned in a month of sunday's, flaking paintwork inside and out, mould or damp stains to the walls in both the bedroom and ensuite, carpet stains around the toilet and to the grouting in the bathroom. Particularly the bathroom curtains were disgusting (faded, stained and mouldy!). The whole place is in dire need of TLC and cleaning! The grounds to the property could again have been stunning but were unloved and scruffy. Had we not arrived late we'd have left and found something else!
