"Lunch booking was made for 1.30pm yet the Devonshire Fell had us down for 2.30pm. Rather late for a midweek lunch? Otherwise it was a great experience. View from the table was stunning and staff were very attentive. Swapping wine for another drink and dealing with dietary requirements did not cause any issues. Only downside was a rather bland fish pie. Will return."

We walked to the venue from Grassington. It is quite a rise from the river finishing with steps, or a long walk to level access, into the building.

Food wasn’t 2 rosette standard. Potatoes dry. Not enough meat and not particularly tasty. Meals not hot enough. Brownie and Parkin dry and flavourless. Starters good though soup was average. Staff not as smiling as should have been. As a party of four we should have had a table for four not two small tables pushed together.
