Excellent with Andrew serving us and Ian with his font of local knowledge and the history of Bedern Hall was a great experience to learn about the Hall itself. A big thanks to all concerned.

We were very impressed with the food, all home cooked and not too heavy on sweet treats. The staff were very helpful and we were told about the history of the hall when we went in to have a look. A lovely day out.

Lovely friendly welcome to a delightful Hall. There was a pleasant cafe inside but also a lovely part shaded outside area overlooking gardens. The afternoon tea was delicious. Thank you.

It was really nice to chat with the volunteer, Jill, who had extensive knowledge of the Hall and its history and also about York.
There was absolutely nothing to fault at all. Very well worth visiting for the calm, friendly, lovely surroundings .

Visited with a friend, including afternoon tea.
On arrival a volunteer spent time with us and provided information about Bedern Hall and its restoration. Afternoon tea was served when we advised we were ready, it was very good and we took some cakes home! All of the staff were very friendly.

It is in a very quiet part of York, located in residential area behind the Minster. It was nice to spend some time away from the crowds and hustle and bustle of York city centre.

Trying to contact someone to arrange the time to go for tea was very difficult. A more efficient system would help.
