Lovely little train trip. We did get off and walk to Bolton Abbey. It’s a good 30 mins walk but a really lovely walk and worth a trip to the Abbey. I feel we really experienced the steam train experience.

We walked from Skipton station to Skipton castle took us about 40 mins with children, further than we thought but we all enjoyed it. Worth the walk if you are fit and healthy and had to calculate the timings of the trains.

I came to Embsay with my daughter and 2 grandchildren, it was easy to find, lots of parking, the lady at the ticket office greeted us like old friends and was very informative. The grand children loved the experience. There was even a magician on the train who did one of his tricks a few times because our 3 year old was amazed. Great experience

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and made all the better as it was a lovely day. All the staff were very enthusiastic which was to be expected with a heritage railway. Excellent value especially with the Travelzoo offer.
