More Reasons to Go
- The Devonshire Fell is part of the Duke of Devonshire's 30,000-acre Bolton Abbey Estate. The 2-AA-Rosette property is in a "heart-tugging" location with "restful" guestrooms (The Daily Telegraph).
- Each of the 16 rooms is stylishly furnished. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, tea- and coffee-making facilities, TVs, Bluetooth speakers, and homemade biscuits.
- The property is in the quintessential North Yorkshire village of Burnsall. It was used as a location in the film "Calendar Girls". The hotel overlooks the Five Arch Bridge, which spans the River Wharfe.
- Bolton Abbey is less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. It's home to the ruins of a 12th-century priory church. Walk through the Valley of Desolation and past Posforth Gill Falls for views from Simon's Seat.
- Brimham Rocks, a National Trust site in the Nidderdale Natural Landscape, is around 30 minutes' drive. Or you could drive to the market town of Pateley Bridge and walk from there. The scenic route takes around an hour and a half.
Travelzoo tip: We've also negotiated an afternoon tea for two at The Devonshire Fell, for £36. Available to use until March.

Lovely hotel. It didn’t appear to have a lot of rooms so it felt quite intimate. We had a beautiful dinner, the food was well cooked and seasoned. It was a short walk into the village which was well worth it, very picturesque. The hotel has lovely gardens offering views across the fells.

A very pleasant experience, partly due to the excellent weather. Friendly, efficient staff, and a very fine view from the superior room. Food quality good.

The hotel was fine. The disappointment were the Bistro and A La carte menus. A similar unusual choice of 4 starters and 4 mains in both plus grill choices.
