Stuart House Hotel offers individually styled guestrooms. There is also a restaurant and lounge, and a cosy bar with open fires.
The property is close to The Walks, an urban park spread across 17 hectares. It includes the Red Mount chapel, a section of the Guannock Gate, and a bandstand.
The 900-year-old King's Lynn Minster was founded by the first Bishop of Norwich. It is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
The Ouse Valley Way hiking route follows the River Great Ouse. It ends in King's Lynn.
Visit Sandringham, 20 minutes' drive away. It is the British Royal Family's country retreat and among the most famous historic houses.

We had dinner at the hotel on the first evening. There was a reasonable choice, the service was efficient and friendly and the food was of good quality, well prepared and tasty.

We couldn’t make dates that were originally agreed by the hotel in June but we’re promised that they would come back with some alternative dates in June but they never did. We are now some £149 out of pocket and haven’t even visited the hotel yet!

Lovely warm welcoming hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Parking was easy and it was convenient for the town centre.

The only downside was the range of food options on the menu. The food was well cooked and tasty but it's standard "pub fare" - and as I have a range of dietary requirements, there was little I could eat. The breakfast was also disappointing. Was asked if we would take a late sitting and happy to do so but fruit had run out, there was only flavoured yoghurts (why no natural?), no gluten-free cereal or bread. I'd go back to the hotel but wouldn't eat there.

My room and en suite shower room were lovely. Very clean. All I needed. Walls a little on the thin side very wide windows which make the room very hot if sunny unless you request the curtains are kept closed. Cooked breakfast good.quality bacon and sausage.

We used a Travelzoo offer and paid extra for an upgraded room, which was larger. The room was comfortable, but lacked style. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was good. Breakfast was basic and quality could be improved. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the historic centre of Kings Lynn, so a good base for exploring the town and north Norfolk.

Good apart from 2 grumbles. The rooms aren't all that sound-proof. As we generally go to bed at 10.30 this could have been a problem if adjacent rooms didn't do likewise. As it happens we were okay on this occasion. Second niggle is that the full breakfast is 1 of everything. So whilst it is excellent in quality and taste you feel a bit short-changed.

We had a good 2 night stay. The hotel had everything to make our stay comfortable. We had evening meals in the bar and the restaurant to which the food and choice of wine was excellent.
The only thing we noticed was the steps leading up to the entrance and different levels in the hotel would be no good for some people.
We had a ground floor room which was very good.

Having booked over the phone and had a conversation regarding my disabled mum they do not have a lift this was not made clear in the voucher so they said over the phone they only have a room ground floor with is superior double so I agreed as there was no choice to put my 89 year old mother then upon checkout they tried to charge me £20 for the upgrade when they suggested the room for was and comfort

Room quality was awful, had to pay to upgrade to a superior room because of having a dog. The room could never be described as superior, it's more a 1*. It also had a hot water tank filling one half of the wardrobe. Room was musty and carpet had had infestation of carpet moth. Just extremely tired and worn and I suggest this should not be utilised until it has had a complete refurb. Food portions were very small and not representative as value for money. Staff was in short supply especially for breakfast service, so much so, we served ourselves and had to find further crockery from other tables.

A reasonable quality hotel in a residential area, but close to a well kept park for open space. The food was good as was the service. The staffing arrangements indicate a rather 'management in absentia' attitude and there appeared to be none between check out and check in. This improved marginally around the evening but job sharing (press the bell for bar service, reception attendance, ) meant that service was compromised. The staff were efficient , friendly and very helpful. Something that I appreciated being disabled (but mobile for stairs, access etc) But they were under pressure to be in several places at once. In spite of their efforts to be willing and helpful, the impression of an upmarket B&B persisted. These are observations not criticism and they seek to guide those who would prefer to sacrifice the casual ambiance of the Stuart House in return for a higher star rating.

If you are hungry at breakfast makw sure you fill up on buffet before the full English breakfast as it consists of one rather of bacon, half size sausage, one egg, half a tomato ans one small mushroom (I opted out of hashbrown but wished I never). Having said that it was tasty

Staff at the Stuart Lodge where delightful, helpful, went out there way to help in a very friendly manner. Our double room was OK though very filled with large furniture so nowhere to put one luggage and bits.

The internal parts of the Hotel we though in need of some serious TLC.. Our main disappointment was with the evening meal. we booked the restaurant for Fir - Sat, but cancelled Saturday. The reason for this was poor choice but above all lavish description on the menu of the Fish Pie. Which turned out to have little taste and little sign of fish, plus served with minimal veg which was tasteless and cold. The wine was also well over priced. We ventured out on our second evening and had a superb meal, served to perfection with great attention to detail and presentation and excellent wine. To our own surprise the bill for both restaurant's came to the same bar a two pounds more......
