The hotel is in a lovely location. Nice traditional building with a large carpark. The food is really good and served very well......this was the main reason for our return. Very sad to say that the reception staff when booking in, booking out and in-between had very little in the way of customer service skills. There was no effort to look up from the computer screens, to make any conversation or even basically look towards us. However, the staff servicing the rooms and in the busy dining area were very friendly and helpful.

At present, one of us has mobility difficulties, so we requested an accessible room, which was provided: level access, help offered with luggage, 2 bathrooms (one a wet room with disabled toilet)

We have always had a brilliant time here, we were not so keen on the dinner menu but that is just bad luck we were there for that menu! Salmon terrine starter and salmonfishcakes mains, roast chicken mains, not to our liking but this is the first time we were not keen, the next night menu looked lovely.
