Great location and nice clean comfortable rooms. I’d recommend for a shopping or entertainment weekend. But I’d book just the room as the restaurant is not up to standard, the breakfast service is poor. Some fantastic members of staff especially the young lady on reception and the lovely waitress on our Monday night meal who was a delight, but others were honestly, unpleasant. But we would stay again but only book the room.

It’s obvious that they also expect the housekeepers to service too many rooms per shift as our lady got to us very late just as we were getting ready to go out in the evening. Not her fault at all. This is an experience we have had not only in Britain but in other Europe countries.

We went to Manchester to celebrate my special birthday as I have never been to Manchester. The Hotel Indigo is in a very good location for historical sights as well as entertainment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Slightly let down by the restaurant. We had evening meal and breakfast. Food was acceptable but not great, but it did seem to be short of staff.

The food was good except for if you are eating on a Sunday night do not go for the roast dinner option. It’s a badly warmed up Sunday lunch. Most was not really edible some was burnt. I think it cost £28. It was utterly rubbish Food. Have to say that breakfast and another meal we had in the Indigo were brilliant.

Overall a brilliant stay at this hotel, more or less right next door to Manchester Victoria train station. Our room was classed as a 'standard double' but the room itself was beautifully decorated, comfortable bed and all amenities you could want. The only slight issue was the standard of some of the items at breakfast - the eggs Benedict were supposed to be served with 'oven roasted ham' but when it came this was cheap wafer thin ham, and the poached eggs were underdone. However despite this issue our overall trip was a good one.
