The Royal Horseguards is a short stroll from many landmarks, including Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden.
It was originally used as a base by MI5 during World War I. New Scotland Yard was previously situated next door. The restaurant takes name inspiration from their famous Whitehall 1212 telephone number.

We had a lovely experience, the staff were great and the food was delicious. The chef kindly made a few tweaks to take into account my allergy. We paid the extra £10 for a bottle of fizz, so the deal was exceptional value. So much so, we bought the voucher for our daughter in law for her birthday!
The hotel itself is an historic building, a real pleasure to visit.

Had a weekend in London booked for a rugby and social event - then received the offer from travel zoo and both thought it would be an amazing finale to the weekend before travelling home !

Restaurant staff were very attentive to our dining experience needs, especially as the waitress noticed when my partners glass had lipstick on it !

We were not sitting in restaurant but seemed like a corridor, which was draughty and cold. We had no atmosphere or ambience. The waiter served us warm acidic cava. The starter had a huge piece of Pattie but only one two inch slice of Melba type toast. We had to ask for more bread to eat the patties. The main was turkey my friends had, which was like a role of ham? My chicken was tough, and the mustard mash, did not taste of mustard at all. All our plates had rock hard Brussels sprouts which you cannot cut. The waiter made a strange comment to my guest, whose birthday is was, that the Pattie had pork in it. We had read the menu.
I had phoned ahead to say it was my friends birthday but absolutely no acknowledgement. Many years ago we had a nice meal but yesterday was very disappointing

Third visit and enjoyed it. Disappointed it was a Christmas menu although they said if there was something from the regular set menu, they might be able to order it. Meals good although my brussel sprouts were rock hard and inedible. Smoked salmon starters huge and delicious!

Generally very good but the waiter didn't listen and brought the wrong main course and the wrong dessert. Also forgot to bring us dessert until someone asked us if we wanted anything else and they realised they'd missed it. I would go back though. They did try to make amends and the staff member was very nice just a bit distracted.

Very relaxed...no one rushed myself and my friend out, we sat in the foyer and chatted for quite a while after our meal.
I was surprised they wanted to charge a service fee, as this was not mentioned in the "deal" but when queried they waived it.
