The waitresses didn't know anything about the wine list, so couldn't recommend any wines. Both white wines we wanted was not available as they had a private function. The white wine I eventually opted for was not chilled. My main, which was the cod with baby squid with chickpeas, came with no baby squid and was too salty, so I sent it back. Just not the best customer service for a 2 AA rosette restaurant.

The tea was served in a small metal put like one you would expect in a local diner. The cup and plate were also just heavy white crockery. The sandwiches and sweets were adequate but nothing special.

Poor quality food, bland, the roast beef had absolutely no taste and the roast potatoes were not nicely browned, not any utensils provided with side dishes until we asked.

The restaurant is in a good location and easily reached by public transport; e.g., it is withing a short walk from Green Park underground tube station.

I had ordered salmon for my main course. However, the portion was very small, even smaller than that for a child. When we complained, the main waiter said he will contact the kitchen and find out what could be done. He came back and said that nothing could be done. We then asked to speak to his manager. She came after a bit of delay. She started out by saying that the portion that was served was the same for all customers. However, when we pointed out that this was not so since I had seen another customer getting the standard portion. She then changed her story and said that she thought that with the vegetables and other supplements it should be enough. She did offer to change the dish. However, by then the main waiter had agreed to change my dish to chicken. This was OK. In addition, we had asked for the soup of the day for our starter which leak and potato soup. However, this was full of black pepper and I was sweating away at the end. The desert was also very poor. Both of us had asked for chocolate fondant. But this was tasteless! My daughter, who had accompanied me, left her desert semi-finished; I finished mine but did not enjoy it. We were there to have a pleasant evening. But, came back feeling very unhappy. The waitress who did serve us said that other customers were also complaining about the quality of service, or a lack of it. She was not properly trained, however, by the restaurant. Thus when our soup was served, she did not clear away the second set of cutlery that was intended to be used for a different starter.
