Why We Love It

  • The Rembrandt is an "attractive" (The AA) 4-star hotel in London's "splendidly well groomed" (Lonely Planet) Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, a short stroll from its world-famous museums, and department stores such as Harrods
  • The hotel dates back to 1911, and the refurbished Edwardian rooms were originally apartments for employees of Harrods
  • The Victoria and Albert Museum, which houses the largest collection of decorative arts in the world in its more than 100 galleries, is adjacent to the hotel
  • The Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are both around five minutes' walk away, and the Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park, and Harrods are all less than 15 minutes' walk
  • The upmarket stores of King's Road in Chelsea are around 20 minutes' walk away
  • The "sophisticated" (The AA) restaurant serves British and international dishes. The 1606 lounge bar, kitted out with armchairs and sofas, offers cocktails and light bites
  • South Kensington Underground station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel

There is no onsite car park, but there is a public car park (Chelsea Cloisters) 10 minutes' walk away, which offers discounted rates for hotel guests (approximately £35 per 24 hours). The hotel is outside London's Congestion Charge zone. South Kensington Underground station is a 5-minute walk away.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Ideal for the museum's, line to the airport, and Piccadiily line to town. Staff were wonderful. Enjoyed the meal allowance.

Arrived early and hotel were happy to look after our bags as they were after we checked out. Well placed for tube and museums. Breakfast very good as was sharing platter. Room was well decorated and spotless but both bathroom and room a little small.

All Good apart from food which was very poor for the price - soggy chicken tikka starter , Very Fatty steak and pre frozen battered Fish and chips - Oven chips on both , was part of £70 deal so not too bothered - disassapointing though for the price.
