Overnight stays for two at Leonardo Royal Hotel London City (formerly Grange City Hotel), which is just a few steps from some of London's most iconic landmarks, are now £85. This deal saves up to 60% compared to direct rates, and you can stay from reopening until December, 2021. Update (09:45am, 20 January): This deal has been extended until 30 April, 2022.

Why We Love It

  • Leonardo Royal Hotel London City reopened in September, 2020, following a multimillion-pound refurbishment
  • The Tower of London, where you can discover 1000 years of "gruesome and compelling history" (Lonely Planet), is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, as is the iconic Tower Bridge
  • Head over to London Bridge (around 20 minutes' walk) and feast your way round Borough Market, "the food hound's favourite market" (Time Out)
  • Once a Royal Navy light cruiser, HMS Belfast is now a museum ship operated by the Imperial War Museum. It is moored on the south bank of the River Thames, a 20-minute walk from the hotel
  • The hotel has two onsite bars, a restaurant, and an outdoor piazza that contains one of the largest remaining parts of London's old Roman wall
  • Facilities at the hotel include a gym, an indoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room, and a spa
  • The hotel has increased hygiene regulations, such as enhanced cleaning and social distancing in public areas, to protect against the spread of Covid-19
Parking at Minories car park is £3.50 per hour Monday-Friday, 6am-7pm and Saturday, 6am-1:30pm. At all other times, including bank holidays, it's £3.50 per visit. Fenchurch Street Station, Tower Hill Underground station, and Tower Gateway on the DLR are less than five minutes' walk from the hotel.

Marked down the ambiance/atmosphere due to Tier 2 restrictions of covid and bar area closed. Breakfast delivered to door due to restaurant closure (covid) and excellent selection; juice, yogurt granola, pain au chocolate, cup of fruit and hot roll with choice of bacon, egg or sausage

Lovely weekend away with hotel being very close to the restaurant booked. Enjoyed the leisure facilities, but only complaint was that too many people were allowed in the pool at any one time. The hotel was very busy as it was half term weekend.

Short of staff for amount of guests. My husband noted that the reception Gents toilet had not been cleaned recently as there were newspapers and toilet roll on the floor.

The hotel is in an excellent position close to Tower of London a minute from the tube station. Staff were very helpful the room spacious with a fantastic view of the Tower of London and the Shard. Excellent breakfast delivered to the room because of Covid.

Photos of room don’t represent the actual room we stayed in. Breakfast was a takeaway bag , no table to sit at in the room. No water or glasses in the room. Poor finishing of bathroom fittings.

Fantastic room with wonderful views of tower and river from 11th floor. A really lovely base to meet my 2 daughters before the next lock down. Would definitely book and stay again. Ps wonderful leisure facilities.
