Hotel & room nice & clean. Staff pleasant & helpful when required. Evening meal was rather basic: steak & ale pie had 2 chunks if meat in & seasonal vegetables were frozen peas, mashed potatoes a bit lumpy. Starter & sweet we're very nice follow by a decent breakfast with nice coffee

Generally a very nice break. We have stayed here before but it's now under the Best Western management. Room was very nice and big, bare walls (a picture would have made all the difference). Big bathroom with bath and separate shower. shower gel by the bath would have been good.
Pool area lovely as it was last time we came.
Evening meal was excellent, service also excellent. What a shame that all the pictures in the lovely dining room have been taken down.
Breakfast not so good. There was a large coach party staying so we waited until they had gone. Hot food then was rather lukewarm. Tables not cleared, so it took some looking to find a clean table to sit down.
I have only said we wouldn't stay again, as now been twice and we have other areas to explore. It's generally a nice hotel in a lovely rural setting. Just needs a few tweaks.

The people were nice - room was terrible with people walking around until 12 and then from 5:45. Staff moved us and very kind.

Booking in there was a young girl on reception - she kept us waiting ‘forever’ and at least could have acknowledged that she was going to be a long time on the phone. When she finally finished - never said ‘sorry to keep you’ or similar - just said ‘are you booking in?’ Felt like saying ‘no, we are just killing time.’ Pity - she let down the other staff who were really wonderful - just not the young blond girl….
