The Daily Telegraph praises the "beautiful" grounds. Eastwell Manor occupies 62 acres within a 3000-acre estate in the Kent Downs.
After falling into disrepair, the hotel was rebuilt in the 1920s. It still retains many original features including stone doorways and a grand wooden staircase.

Staff was not attentive at all, did not greet us when we arrived and I had to get up to ask to order as we waited 20 minutes. Guests next to us had issues as well. Didn't feel taken care of or friendly service, which in a setting like this makes all the difference.

The place was total chaos! No parking spaces available just had to leave car at side of road and hope for the best! Queue to get into restaurant, they were turning people away, even though they had booked, as they had no tables free. When you did get a table, it wasn’t set with cutlery etc and you were left with menus for quite some time before your order was taken. The people next to us had been waiting for nearly 45 minutes before anyone took their drinks order. Our starters were cleared away and then it was over an hours wait for our main courses. When I asked if someone could chase our main course I was told it was on the pass and the waiter was just bringing it out, 15 minutes later it had still not appeared. When it did arrive the food was lukewarm, roast potatoes were not fresh. The manager assured us it was just a problem with their booking system for this particular day but, looking at reviews and talking to friends, this is the norm. Won’t return.

Staff overstretched due to large uptake of the Travelzoo offer. Considering the number of covers was three times the normal Sunday lunch uptake the kitchen coped extremely well. Disappointingly one of the starters had run out (mine!!)

We had a really lovely experience at Eastwell Manor at the weekend.
It was extremely busy with a big wedding and a full restaurant, as the time we had booked was obviously very popular! Unfortunately, the staff seemed to be having difficulties with the ordering system and the service was very slow.
Given this - we still enjoyed our lunch with delicious food in a beautiful setting!

Service was terrible, sadly. We were completely ignored by the staff, waited over an hour for our dessert which we chased up 3 times. Then had to wait for staff to bring the cutlery (another long wait) so all the food was luke warm. Wanted to order coffees but no waiting staff attended our table so we left without ordering them

We Arrived and our table wasn't ready and so we were provided with a complimentary drink - a nice touch. The staff were prompt and courteous. The surrounding were a expected of an old manor house.

We booked directly via phone. Travelled 60 mile round trip. Only to find they did not honour the booking.We were aware of a party experiencing the same problem as us. We have had to rebook a new booking and asked to be sent confirmation . We rang them yesterday 24hrs later. Were told they would send one .24hrs later we still have not received confirmation. So far not impressed.

The very long wait, 2pm is our booking. No one is taking our order as they’ve overbooked and understaffed. I have to stand up and ask someone to literally take our order. We got our starter 2:55, then long wait again for the main, and dessert. There’s about 40 mins wait every meal after we finished eating them. It was a painul and frustrating experience. I told the first guy who took our order that my Mum is Diabetic but he didn’t take any consideration. They served the dessert 5:02. My Mum didn’t enjoy the food as she was hypoglycemic when her starter arrived. We really have wasted our time. If we had know it would be like this we would have not bought the voucher. It’s not worth the drive and our time. We are not a happy customers.
