Beautiful location and convenient with the tram to old Bordeaux. Rooms are a great size, nice indoor rooftop pool though would be awkward going to/from your room with the restaurant next door. Nice breakfast buffet though nect door is a local food hall. The blankets were a bit heavy for the weather/ AC doesn't get too cold. Otherwise fantastic!
Other Comments
The staff were very welcoming and were quick to respond to issues we had, including when our power bar caused a short circuit in our room.

Great breakfast on rooftop terrace.
On the last day of the city break, it was 41 degrees so the hotel allowed us to have access to the top floor to use the swimming pool and showers as our flight back to the UK was at 11pm.
Bordeaux is well worth a visit, beautiful city.

Our expectation wasn't particularly high but we we're pleasantly surprised. Check in was very good, all staff we spoke to spoke good english, we were a little early and our room wasn't ready but we didn't expect it to be. So we went for a walk along the river bank into the main city centre which took about half an hour, reception phoned shortly afterwards to confirm that the room was ready.
We returned to the hotel and were given our keys and a voucher from Travel Zoo for a cake and coffee from the snack bar, very nice.
The lift upto the 6th floor took a bit of time to navigate, you need to swipe your room key once inside otherwise it doesn't move, took a minute or two to suss it out.
Our room was perfect, with everything we needed, couldn't fault it apart from the floor to ceiling window between the bedroom and the bathroom, couldn't understand the point however a curtain could be pulled across. Shower was brilliant, large with really good products provided.
The room had an outstanding view, wasn't too hot, very quiet with a particularly comfortable bed.
Breakfast was typical continental, cooked eggs were available at a price but didn't look particularly appealing to me, however Breakfast was good enough.
Breakfast was busy Saturday and Sunday, I think it would be good to extend it by half an hour at weekends.
Didn't use the pool so can't comment, did use the roof top bar though each evening, good choice of drinks in comfortable surroundings, had an excellent cocktail. I have to say I thought the bar staff were superb particularly the young man with glasses who's name escapes me but he is a great asset to the team.
The hotel is located slightly out of town however it's bang opposite the wine museum which we thoroughly enjoyed and once we'd mastered the trolly bus app it was a 10 minute ride into town.
I would highly recommend this modern hotel for a business or leisure trip to Bordeaux, we hope to return again but in the summer months as it rained the whole time we were there, and will once again stay at the Renaissance.

Pwesonally would have prefered an English breakfast but completely understand that most customers are not English. The use of the lift is very good as you need to swipe your room card however this is not obviouse.
Staff generally very good.
